AREIS Online

AREIS stands for the Auditor's Real Estate Information System. It is a free online database of real estate public information.

About AREIS Online

The Lucas County Auditor is committed to innovation and transparency in government. As one of the first counties in the United States to convert to digital records, Lucas County paved the way for significant advancements in technology.

 

AREIS Online debuted in August of 1999 and was developed solely with in-house staff. The Lucas County Auditor's Office won several awards for cutting edge technology, some of which include:

AREIS Online is a useful database for public property records and allows for a number of search capabilities. If you would like additional assistance using AREIS, please contact the Lucas County Auditor's Department of Education and Outreach at 419-213-4406.

Remove Name from AREIS Online

Certain public service workers, such as police officers, may request that their name and their spouse's name be removed from the Auditor's Real Estate Information System, in compliance with Ohio Revised Code Section 319.28. These affidavits must be signed in front of a notary before being submitted.

Download AREIS Data

If you are interested in a copy of the entirety of Lucas County real estate data, you may download the Lucas County AREIS Access Database from the Lucas County website.

After you create an account or log in, you will select "Real Estate" as the category and "AREIS Data" as the sub-category. This data is updated at the end of each business day and will download as a Microsoft Access database file. After downloading, you can export each category as a Microsoft Excel file.
